Cherbourg, a distance of .2812 miles, On, June 23, giving France the world’s distance records by land and sea planes. The Croix du Sud, which has crossed the Atlantic four .times, descended 250 miles short of its objective, Konakri. though it was sufficient to beat the Italian record of 2567 miles.
