OKATO THIRD GRADE VICTORY, The Okato third grade team played a draw, 6-all, with Opunake at Opunake on Wednesday 'and- thus becomes the holder of the championship for the season. A defeat would have made Okato hven with Opunake. The game was well contested and a very fair exhibition of Rugby on a heavy ground. Both Reams put up the same score of six points and obtained them in like manner —a penalty goal and a try each. Okato scored six points in the early part of the game to Opunake’s 3. In the last few minutes Opunake scored. McNae’s kick, which was to decide Opunake’s fate fell just outside the post. It was a good attempt. Roebuck scored for Okato and the penalty goal was kicked by a forward. R. O’Shannessy scored all Opunake’s points. Tire try was a good one. Mr. Elgar refereed. •
