CRUISE IN ISLANDS
MONOWAI IN TONGA GROUP. Tire Union Steamship Company has received wireless messages from its cruise steamer Mopowai advising that the first two days after leaving Auckland strong winds and heavy rains were experienced. The weather then cleared and for the rest of the voyage to Nukualofa fine sunny days and smooth seas were , enjoyed. The Monowai anchored off the wharf at Nukualofa, the capital 0 Tonga, on Saturday morning and the passengers were taken ashore by boat. They spent the day motoring across the island of Tonga Tabu, viewing the natives’ dances and listening to then singing. The weather was fine and the sea smooth and everything was promising for an enjoyable day at Vayau, where' Sunday was to be spent.
