MR. L. GRIERSON FAREWELLED. Tire second of a series of euchre and dance parties conducted by the Tc Roti hall committee again drew a good attendance. and prize-winners were: Mrs. Hoskin 1, Mrs. Alexander 2; Mr. F. Speed 1, Mr. Gale 2. Music for dancing was supplied by Mrs. Attrill. Opportunity was taken to say farewell to Mr. L. Grierson, who is to leave for the Hawkes Bay district, where he has accepted a position. Mr. Condon, in presenting him with a travelling rug, spoke of the loss Mr, Grierson’s departure would be to the district, and wished him good luck. ' A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss L. Kelly and partner, with Mr. L. Grierson and Miss Olive Smith 2. Mr. Hitchcock was master of ceremonies. Long Night Dance. A long night dance organised by the hall committee in aid of the piano fund was held at Te Roti on Wednesday. Music was played by Mrs. Attrill, extras being played by Miss' M. Dawson and Miss J. McAsey. Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Mrs. Paulson and Mr. H. Fowler and Miss Skedgwell and Mr. H. Fowler. Mr. Hitchcock was master of ceremonies.
