BADMINTON CLUB DANCE
GATHERING AT FRANKLEY ROAD. The Frankley Road Badminton Club held another dance in the school gymnasium on Wednesday night. Mr. Smith, with Miss Mischefski at the piano, provided the music, extra dances, being played by Miss G. Kenny. The hostesses were Mrs. Goodacre and Miss Keightley. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss M. Vincent and partner and a mystery Gay Gordons by Mrs. C. J. Henry and Mr. L. Smith. The winners of two competitions were Miss Thelma Goodacre (jug given by Mr. Kenny) and Miss Diana Rogers (pair of fowls). Basketball Match. The Frankley Road school basketball team went to Ornate on Friday to play the Omata school. Omata won by 13 t" 6. Miss Hodges was the referee. Afternoon tea was served by the women of the district. Personal Item. Miss Barbara Monk, Te Aroha, and Miss Mary Irvine, Hamilton, are the guests of Mrs. McGiven, Vealc Road.
