ADRIFT IN THE TASMAN.—The steamer Maheno, which left Australia on July 3 for Japan, Is reported to be ashore on Fraser Island, off the Queensland coast. Without propellers, she was towed by the Oonah, both vessels being on the way to Japan to be broken up. The above photograph was taken on the last occasion the Maheno was in New Zealand.
