Koldylis, the Greek deputy Prime Minister and Minister for War, hitherto one of the strongest supporters of the republican regime, stupefied ’•epublican circles by publicly declaring that ‘he hoped the coming plebiscite would give a large majority in favour of the monarchy, as the republic had failed to stabilise political life, says the Athens correspondent of the Times.
