WHEAT ACREAGE
INCREASE IN GREAT BRITAIN.
BACK TO PRE-WAR PERIOD LEVEL.

The standard price committee reported to Mr. W. E. Elliot* Minister of Agriculture, that the wheat of Britain was now 1,866,000 acres, compared with 1,250,000 in 1931, thus restoring the prewar acreage. The committee was unanimous that it was not desirable to alter the standard price. ?
