RAEKOHUA SCHOOL
FIRST ELECTION OF COMMITTEE.
The annual meeting of householders was held at the Raekohua school on Friday night, the commissioner, Mr. W. S. Sinclair, presiding over a fair number. In presenting the report and balancesheet the chairman expressed pleasure at the satisfactory State of the finances and gave a comprehensive review of the work done during the year, with an outline of the suggested activities for the present year. Mr. Sinclair pointed out that he had acted in the capacity of commissioner for the school for nearly two years, and he considered it waS time a committee was formed to carry on the work outlined in the report. The suggestion was acted upon and the following members , were elected a committee: Mrs. Betts, Mr. G. Stewart, Mr. Hutchison, Mt. Gwilliam and Mr. Sinclaif. A resolution placing on record the parents’ appreciation of the splendid work done on behalf of the school by Mr. Sinclair while commissioner was enthusiastically carried. At a subsequent meeting of the committee Mr. H. S. Sinclair was appointed chairman and Mr. G. Stewart secretary.
