COMMON GAMING HOUSE KEPT. conviction at Christchurch. By Telegraph-Press Association. Christchurch, June 4. Kathleen Nora Poulsen, aged 32, storekeeper, Brougham Street, was fined £2O and costs by the magistrate, Mr. E. C. Lewey, on a charge of using her shop as a common gaming house. The police said there had been numerous complaints. Six bets had been made with her by constables, and later detectives searched the premises. Betting slips' were found. Presumably she was an agent.
