MINISTER’S ILLNESS
SIR ALFRED RANSOM INDISPOSED. UNABLE TO ENJOY HIS HONOURS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Sir Alfred Ransom, acting Prime Minister, is still indisposed and confined to bed in the Ministerial residence. It is unlikely he will be able to resume his duties at Partiament House this week, a bad cold retarding his recovery. . In political circles much sympathy is expressed with the Minister, whose sharp indisposition has hindered him from enjoying the honour of knighthood bestowed upon him and the numerous congratulations from all parts of New Zealand and farther afield. The messages received by Sir Alfred and Lady Ransom include felicitous Cabled greetings from Viscount and Viscountess Bledisloe, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes and Mrs. Eorbes, and the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates and Mrs. Coates.
