WOMEN’S PLAY AT NGAMOTU. MRS. TAYLOR WINS L.G.U. MATCH. Though there was not a great deal of sun on the fairways, fine weather favoured .the L.G.U. match played by the women members of the New Plymouth Golf Club yesterday. The following were the best cards returned:—
MRS. N. SOLE WINS AT WESTOWN. ' FLAG MATCH FOR WOMEN. Mrs. N. Sole won a women’s flag match on the Westown course yesterday. She carried her flag to the 18th green. TIE IN MEDAL AT NGAMOTU. MISSES WYLDS AND GRIFFIN. Misses P. Wylds and E. Griffin, with nett scores of 54, tied in a medal match over 12 holes on the Ngamotu links yesterday. The next best scores were those of Miss M. Evans and L. Medley 57 and H. Rolfe and W. Webster 59. Over the next two week-ends an eclectic match will be played, competitors to choose their own partners.
