DEBATERS’ VIEW OF EMPIRE. Members of the New Plymouth Debating Society on popular vote rejected the proposition that the British Empire is disintegrating, after a keenly contested debate on Friday. Open discussion of the question of inter-imperial relations occupied members until a late hour. The affirmative was led by Mr. C. H. Strombom. seconded by Mr. C. Saxton, and the negative by Mr. J. W. Moorhead, seconded by Mr. W. J. Bethell. The adjudicator was Mr. F. T. Davis and the chairman Mr. R. W. D. Robertson.
