UNDERTAKING IN CANTERBURY. CABINET APPROVES PROPOSAL, ' By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night Cabinet' has approved, a recommendation of tha Minister of Public Works that an irrigation scheme covering 12,800 acres in South Canterbury should be undertaken immediately by the Public Works Department. i ■ ! I The area to be served by the scheme lies between Temuka, Pleasant Point and Washdyke in the Levels county. The, scheme is estimated to cost £55,000.
