ELTHAM TALKIES. “MY SONG FOR YOU.” That popular young tenor Jan Kiepura will be heard in a musical romance, “My Sc..g For You,” at Eltham to-night and to-morrow night. There is no stint either of romantic ballad or of operatic aria, and the boyish enthusiasm with which Kiepura enacts his superb singing role proclaims him to have great ability as an actor, an asset which has been given to few opera singer- to more than a limited extent. His sprightly comedy scenes with Sonnie Hale are really amusing. Kiepura shares the romance with delightful Aileen Marson. Mention should be made of ,the diverting comedy provided by Reginald Smith as a fiance inclined to philander, as well as of Emlyn Williams’ clever study of an overambitious, under-talented pianist. The story tells of the attraction of the great tenor Gatti (Jan Kiepura) to Mary Newberg (Aileen Marson). Infatuated, he ignores a radio engagement in order to dine with her and the situation is saved only by the resource of Charlie, his secretary (Sonnie Hale), who in this connection presents one of the funniest scenes in modern screen comedies. _..
