“REMARKABLE WORK”
NEW ZEALAND SCHOOL DISPLAY. ON EXHIBITION IN CANADA. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, May 1. Last year an exhibit of work done at the Kowhai intermediate school, Auckland was sent to Canada for exhibition in Ottawa public schools. The Education Board has now received a copy of a report made on it by the chief inspector of Ottawa schools, who decribed it as very complete and an excellent exhibition.
After praising various aspects the inspector said that the inlaid woodwork was the most remarkable school work they had seen. In forwarding this report the Canadian Trade Commissioner said the inspector was recognised as ar: outstanding educational ■ authority in Canada. A copy of his report had been sent to every school inspector throughout Canada. The exhibit itself would be sent to various schools and probably it will De displayed at the Central Canada Exhibition in August. "It shows what an intermediate school can do,” commented the chairman of the board, which decided to congratulate the Kowhai school.
