DEATH IN STREET
NEW PLYMOUTH MAN COLLAPSES. RECENTLY BEEN IN BAD HEALTH. Aubrey Banks Hope, aged 51 years, a resident of Aubrey Street, New Plymouth, collapsed in Devon Street at 5 o’clock yesterday afternoon and died while receiving medical attention a fewminutes later. Mr. Hope, recently employed at New Plymouth as a porter, had been out of work and in bad health. He was walking along the street between Mt. Edgecumbe and Dawson Streets when pas-sers-by noticed him stagger and fall. A crowd quickly collected and a doctor was summoned, but. he was unable to resuscitate Mr. Hope. Mr. Hope was married but has no family. An inquest will be held, as he had not been receiving medical attention for a recent illness.
