JUBILEE ORATION
PRIME MINISTER AT THE ABBEY. FIRST TO SPEAK FROM THE NAVE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rec. 9 p.m. London, April 18. The Prime Minister, Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, will make a jubilee oration at Westminster Abbey on May 7, says the Daily Express. He will speak for about an hour on the King’s reign and the spiritual significance of a Christian monarch. Mr. MacDonald will be the first Prime Minister ever invited to lecture from ‘toe Abbey nave, though Mr. Stanley Baldwin and the late Lord Curzon made short speeches at the unveiling of abbey memorials.
