Zlatev’s Cabinet has resigned as a sequel to the earlier resignation of four Ministers who did so in protest against the authorities’ action in arresting several prominent people, including two former Prime Ministers, Mr. Tsankoff and Colonel Kimon Gheorgieff, who are being interned on the lonely island of Saint Anastasia, where the only dwelling is a lighthouse. Mr. Tsankoff and his various associates were interned because they have not dissolved their party called the Social Popular Movement, thereby violating the decree issued last year when Colonel Gheorgieff established his Fascist Government, in which General Zlatev, who later ousted his former leader, was Minister of War.
