LOBB—MORRIS.

All Saints’ Church, Eltham, was the scene of the wedding on Wednesday of Ngaere, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Morris, Eltham, to Gordon, Second son on Mr. and Mrs. Lobb, Midhirst. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. Langston, Eltham. The bride, who Was given away by her father, wore a gown of slipper length silk marocain, figured in blue. Her embroidered veil and net cap were held in place by a bandeau of orange blossom, and her shower bouquet was of white roses and hydrangeas. Mrs. Goodwin, sister of the bride, was maid of honour, and Mr. T. Lobb, brother of the bridegroom, best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s mother, where Mrs. Morris received her guests, wearing a nigger brown costume with accessories to match. Mrs. J. Lobb, mother of the bridegroom, wore a green costume, relieved with a grey stole. The bride and bridegroom later left by car for the north. WOMEN’S AUXILIARY. MEETING OF Y.M.-Y.W.C.A. GROUP. About 25 members of the New Plymouth Y.M.-Y.W.C.A. Women’s Auxiliary met on Wednesday at the home of Mrs. H. Smart, who with Mrs. A. K. Smart was hostess. During the afternoon Mrs. H. S. Clark gave an address on her recent visit to Australia with the New Zealand croquet team. She referred to the Y.W.C.A. institutions she had visited.
