FINE WEATHER EXPECTED

MODERATE, VARIABLE WINDS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A few scattered showers are expected in the north-eastern part of the North Island, but otherwise the weather sliould be fine, with cool night but warm day conditions, says the 4 p.m. forecast. Some morning fogs are likely. The anti-cyclone covering New Zealand is more intense than it was yesterday and the depression over the western Tasman is filling up. Winds will be light to moderate and variable, with south-east to north-east prevailing. Seas will have a considerable swell on parts of the east coast, but otherwise will be smooth to moderate.
