KAIMATA BEATS MAKETAWA.

There was an exciting finish to a twoinnings cricket match at- Kaimata at the week-end when Kaimata beat Maketawa. After a good start by the opening pair in the second innings, it seemed that Maketawa would play out time for- a draw, but against Mitchell, Kaimata’s best bowler, the batting collapsed. Mitchell took four wickets in one over, including the “hat trick, and finished with the good figures of eight wickets for 12 runs. The match ended two minutes before time.
