ST. ANDREW’S ANNUAL MEETING. SUCCESSFUL YEAR' REVIEWED. The annual meeting of the St. Andrew’s Anglican ladies’ guild was held in the parish hall on Monday afternoon, 'when Miss E. M. Brown presided over an . excellent attendance. The annual report stated that the year had been very satisfactory. The year was commenced with a credit balance of £l2 19s 3d and ended with a credit of £l3 4s 3d. The money raised by the guild was £lO4 13s 2d, and this with the balance brought forward from last year brought the total to £ll7 12s sd. An increase was shown on each of the three annual efforts. The entries in* the spring show were, itot as numerous as those of last year owing to weather conditions, but the stalls did much better business. The entertainment on the night of the show brought a full house, and thanks were due.to Mrs. Faris,.Mrs. Wanklyn and Mr. Sutherland, who arranged it, and to all who took part. The bridge evenings did not' prove very popular. Members’ subscriptions showed an increase. The main item of expenditure was £5O paid to the vestry. A new lining to the pulpit and curtains in the vestry were provided by the guild. During the year the Rev. H. BoydBell was welcomed to the parish. So that the new vicar should meet as many parishioners as possible a parish social was organised. It was largely attended. Thanks were due to Mr. and Mrs. Feaver for allowing the use of their grounds for a garden party and for the Use of their house for afternoon tea purposes, to all who worked to make the town hall ready for the show, to - Archdeacon Evans and Mrs. Evans, who came out year after year to open the show, and to all who assisted. The election of officers resulted; President, Miss E. M. Brown; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames W. Messenger, F. Webb and Crossman senr.; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. M. A. T. Evans. Mrs. Fea ver was appointed to act as trustee in conjunction with the secretary.

The sum of £5 was voted to the vestry towards its quota for missions.
