COASTAL SURVEY
WORK MAY BE STARTED IN 1936.
HUGE TASK TO TAKE 10 YEARS.

Tire Minister of Marine, the Hon. J. G. Cobbe; stated to-day that there was every likelihood of an Imperial, surveying ship making a beginning in 1936 with the work of re-surveying the New Zealand coast. The work was j huge one and would occupy at least 10 years. Its estimated cost to the New’ Zealand Government was £lB,OOO a year. The remaining charges on the. ship, which might be £30,000 a year, would be provided by the Imperial Government. •
