The maple leaf of Canada and other emblems of the Dominions and India will replace the Maltese crosses and fleurs delis. Reconstruction of the Crown, which is the most valuable in the world, and was made for Queen Victoria in 1838, will be carried out with the Empire’s jubilee gifts of precious stones and metals, including gold from Canada and Australia, platinum from New Zealand, diamonds from South Africa, emeralds, sapphires, and diamonds from India, rubies from Burma and aquamarines from Ceylon.
