Dog fanciers are taking great interest in the series of stake matches being held by the New Plymouth Kennel Club in the Agricultural Hall. The last of the series will be held to-morrow evening, and of special interest is a St. Bernard puppy that arrived from Australia this week. There are few, if any, of this breed of dog in New Zealand, and as the kennel club does not make a charge for admission to the matches this will be an opportunity for members of .the public to see one of these famous dogs before it is sent to the Stratford mountain house?
