EVEREST EXPEDITION
ADVANCE PARTY’S EXPLORATION.
RECONNAISSANCE OF MOUNTAIN.

The Mount Everest expedition advance party under the leadership of Mr. Shipton, who participated in the 1933 attempt, will start on May 2 to prepare a way for the main expedition under Mr. Hugh Ruttledge, which will leave in January to attempt the ascent to the summit in March and early in April. Mr. Shipton and two others will reconnoitre the mountain to establish camps.
