FAIR WEATHER LIKELY
SOUTH TO EAST WINDS AT FIRST.
By Telegraph—Press Association.
Wellington, Last Night.
Some rain is still probable in parts of the east coast of the North Island, especially between Hawke s Bay and East Cape, but elsewhere the weather should be fine and milder, states the 4 p.m. forecast. A depression off East Cape is moving away and an anticyclone is still centred east of Otago, while a depression covers the western Tasman. Winds should be south to east at first north of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura and otherwise east to north. Seas will be rough at first between Cape Campbell and East Cape and in the Cook Strait area, but moderating elsewhere.
