CARPENTRY AWARD
HOSPITAL BOARD EXCLUDED. An application to strike out the Taranaki Hospital Board from the list of parties to the carpenters’ and joiners’ award was granted in the Arbitration Court at New Plymouth. Mr. V. Duff, appeared, for the hospital board, and Mr. G. Fleming for the union, said the application would not be opposed. The board employed one man on maintenance work on a weekly wage.
The application was granted on the understanding that the present conditions continue 3.
