BRADDOCK TO MEET CHAMPION. DEFENCE OF CROWN BY BAER. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7 p.m. New York, April 13. James J. Braddock, veteran New Jersey heavyweight boxer, has signed a contract with Madison Square Garden to meet Max Baer in a 15 rounds title bout, probably on June 10. Baer will receive 37J per cent, of the net receipts and Braddock 15 per cent.
LURICH BEATS ELLIOT. SYDNEY WRESTLING CONTEST. Rec. 7 p.m. Sydney, April 13. In a wrestling contest Tom Lurich defeated Elliot by two falls to one.
