MAN STEALS £1800
THEFT FROM HIS EMPLOYERS. SENTENCE OF 23 MONTHS’ GAOL. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rec. 9.20 p.m. Sydney, April 12. At the Quarter Sessions to-day Edgar Hartley McCall, aged 36, was sentenced to 23 months’ imprisonment for the theft of £lBOO, the property of his employers, Sandfords Ltd., fish merchants, of Auckland. \ McCall attributed his downfall to betting “spielers” and two up.
