HURWORTH SPORTS CLUB A meeting to complete the sports ac- . counts was held in the Hurworth hall last Monday. Mr. F. Salisbury was in the chair. The balance showed a profit of £6. At a meeting of 20 women it was decided to form a branch of the Women’s Institute in the Hurworth district Mrs. Taylor was elected president, • Miss Nola Gilbert secretary and Miss Launa King treasurer. Other officers were: Vice-presidents, Mesdames F. King and S. Campbell; committee, Mesdames P, Gilbert, F. Harrison, A. Rider, E. Pepperell and Miss J. Harrison.
