Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, April 10. Estimated expenditure of £5,500,000 on slum clearance and housing development was considered by the London County Council to-day. The estimates are understood to foreshadow one of the greatest slum clearances and reconstruction schemes in the United Kingdom
