INGLEWOOD GOLF CLUB
SEASON’S OFFICIAL OPENING. A large number of members, visitors and members of other clubs gathered at the Inglewood golf course yesterday afternoon for the official opening of the season. Dr. I. E. Faris, president of the club, in a short speech wished all players a successful season, mentioning that the club had been fortunate in having such a fine day for the commencement of the season. The links were in excellent order, probably the best they had been for several seasons. He then officially opened the season by driving off the first ball. A mixed Canadian foursomes for the president’s trophy was played, resulting:— ■ ’
Mrs. Faris and H. Winter 91—24—67. Miss Fussell and D. Sutherland 90— 19—71.
As bogey for the course is 72 these were good scores for the commencement of the season. Other good cards were returned which points to a successful season.
