WAITOTARA DISTRICT
GENERAL AND PERSONAL NEWS. There was a fair attendance of players at the first of a series of cribbage evenings at Waitotara.. Prizewinners were Mrs. E. McConachy and Mr. W. Dobie. A successful social evening and dance in aid of the Patea band was held in the Waitotara hall on Thursday. Items were given by the band and Mr. J. Crawford. Community singing was popular.
A match was played between the Waitotara and Ngutuwera football teams at Ngutuwera at the ■week-end. The game resulted in a win for the Waitotara team by three points to nil. C'. Best scored the try. Mrs. G. McConachy, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. Carter, Bulls, has returned home.
