A steady trickle of men, material and munitions continues from Italian ports to East Africa, says the Rome correspondent of the Times. There is at present 100,000 tons of shipping in Massowa harbour, says the Daily Mail’s correspondent. Every street is choked with the sinews of war from casks of Chianti to cases of cordite. Thousands of yards of barbed wire will all be hurried off to Asmara, the capital, which is 80 miles away, as soon as possible. It is reported that 20,000 Italians, much heavy artillery, 200 aeroplanes and 40,000 native troops are massed on the Abyssinian frontier and that larger forces are assembling in Italian Somaliland.. Abyssinia at the same time is buying guns and material from Japan.
