GENERAL LUDENDORFF HONOURED HEROIC PHILOSOPHY PROPAGANDA By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Munich, April 8. The death of so many war heroes in recent years is held to account for tomorrow’s official demonstration in honour of General Ludendorff’s 70th birthday with the blessing of the Nazis, who hitherto regarded him as a crank advocating purely a Teutonic religion based on the worship of Odin as better suited to Germany than Christianity. Now Germany needs a touchstone for heroic philosophy propaganda. Even Herr Hitler announced that Germany was deeply indebted to the old general as an incomparable war leader, and he ordered that flags be flown on public buildings to-morrovz. General Ludendorff without explanation refused the offer of . a field-marshal’s baton.
