LONE ISLAND VISITED
SHIP AT TRISTAN DA CUNHA. INHABITANTS SHOW LOYALTY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 6.30 p.m. Capetown, March 23. Captain Griffith, of the Empress of Australia, wirelessed that he landed 12 tons of stores at Tristan Da Cunha Island. “I was particularly proud on my last voyage,” he said, “to be able to make a completely successful landing. The islanders were all fit and happy." Donald Glass, who is a deckhand, saw his 80-years-old' parents. The Queen sent a gramophone and the King a quantity of window glass. The islanders handed the captain an address to. the King written on parchment and containing congratulations on his jubilee.
