RISING TEMPERATURES LIKELY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Rain is developing about Foveaux Strait and is likely to extend along the west coest of the Soiith Island, states the 4 p.m, weather forecast. Elsewhere condk tions should be fair to fine, with rising temperatures, . The anticyclone over New Zealand is losing intensity and a deep depression is centred over Tasmania. Winds should be variable over the North Island, with southerlies predominating at first and northerlies prevailing in and south of Cook Strait. Seas will be smooth to moderate generally at first and later rising about Cook and Fovea-ix Straits.
