AGREEMENT REACHED

LICENSED HOTEL WORKERS’ PAY. 714 PER CENT. INCREASE IN WAGES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, March 22. The hearing of the licensed hotel workers’ dispute occupied four days before the Conciliation Council, and a complete agreement was reached, the terms of which are an increase of 7% per cent, on the rates paid in 1932, which represents half the “cuts” imposed on the 1932 rate. The provisions of the current award, including classification of workers, have been accepted with two alterations. The award will come into force on April 1 and continue for two years.
