EIGHT NATIONS AGREE ON ; A SCALE OF FEES TpIND. a.torpedo and win £3O! x The.‘great nations of the world are desirous of establishing a scale of rewards to be paid for the salvage of torpedoes and have now agreed on one This information is contained in a British Government White Paper, and the decisions arrived at are signed by the representatives of eight nations. A pound will be paid for information leading to the discovery of a torpedo which is not fit for use, and £2 if it is a live one. To gain a reward of £3O, the torpedo must be “salvaged more than two miles from the coast and returned to the local authorities,” and it must be fit for use. If it is not fit for use, the reward is £l5.
