KISCH AT COLOMBO
ARGUMENT OVER LANDING. DESIRE TO VISIT KANDY. By Telegraph—Press Assn—Copyright. Colombo, March 20. Egon Kisch, the Czechoslovakian author, a passenger aboard the Orford, was at first not allowed to land at Colombo and was greatly disappointed because he had intended to go to Kandy to collect material for articles for newspapers and a book he had contracted to write. He said that all his troubles were due to Herr Hitler’s influence. Later, however, after an assurance from Kisch that he would continue his voyage to-night, the police allowed him to land and proceed to Kandy.
