THE SLOT WING COMES OFF. CORONER ONGES INQUIRY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.--Copyright. London, March 19. At the inquest on the New Zealanders, Flying-Officer G. E. 'B. Nixon and .Act-ing-Biiot Officer -C. Kirkley, who were killed .in 2 crash yesterday. Flight-Lieu-tenant John .Roberts gave evidence that an automatic slot wing came off and was found 'half a mile distant. He had not previously heard of ® slot coming off similarly.
Experts gave evidence that the plane was perfectly serviceable and had been used in the morning without mishap. Tile coroner said he hoped, that the Air Ministry wtnild inquire.
