Garbed in the orthodox blue denim overalls, brand new, and a pair of gumboots, also immaculately clean, a six-year-old girl whose flaxen hair hardly reached to the shoulders of the animal she was leading, proudly played her part yesterday when nine young heifer calves paraded before the judge at the Jersey show at New Plymouth.
