FAIR TO FINE WEATHER

LIGHT SOUTHERLY WINDS LIKELY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather is expected to be fair to fine in most districts, but some scattered showers are still probable between Cape Palliser and East Cape and in the far north, says the 4 p.m. forecast. Conditions should be cool. An anti-cyclone of moderate intensity covers New Zealand, its centre being to the west Pressure is still low to the east. South-easterly to southerly winds, light to fresh, are expected. Seas should be rather rough in the Cook Strait area and between Cape Palliser and East Cape, but elsewhere smooth to moderate.
