ENGAGEMENT BROKEN
BLACK AND MISS F. DESMOND ROMANCE OF AIRMAN ENDS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, March 12. The engagement between Mr. T. Campbell Black, companion of Mr. C. W. A. Scott in winning the centenary air race, and Miss Florence Desmond, the actress, has been terminated by mutual consent. They were engaged in December, and the marriage was expected in April. Miss Desmond says that she intends to resign frfem the directorate of Campbell Black Aviation, Ltd., a private company recently formed “to undertake all kinds of aerial transport.”
