SENTENCED TO DEATH
FIJI INDIANS COMMIT MURDER. COMPATRIOT’S HEAD BATTERED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rec. 7 p.m. Suva, March 13. Indians, Ajodah and Tiri, were sentenced to death, with a recommendation to mercy, for the murder of a compatriot, Mahangi, whose head they smashed with an iron bar and a hammer. Then they set fire to their own house. It was alleged Mahangi interfered with the wife of Ajodha.
