FOUR WEEKS OF YEAR TO GO. British Wireless. Rugby, March 5. With four weeks to run before the end of the financial year the latest Treasury returns Show that ordinary revenue at March 2 amounted io £641,598,389, which was about £21,419,000 more than last week’s figures. The estimate for the year is £705,500,000. At the corresponding date last year the ordinary revenue was £655,015,624. Income tax collected last week amounted to £14,078,000, compared with £12,821000 in the previous week, bringing the total so far collected to £202,578,000, compared with £201,317,000 at the corresponding date last year. The Budget estimate is for £219,500,000. The total ordinary expenditure to last Saturday was £653,099,983, compared with £638,236,079 at March 3, 1934. The estimate fox the is £711,203,000.
