SAFE BLOWN OPEN
HAUL IN COUNTY COUNCIL OFFICE. THREE DOORS PENETRATED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland; March 7. Burglars entered the offices of the New Lynn Borough Council last night and forced three doors leading to a fireproof room, in which stood the council’s safe. They blew the door off the safe with gelignite and stole £B7, mostly in £5 notes. The money had been paid in yesterday by ratepayers.
