BOWLING AT WEST END

H. PRICE WINS TOURNEY. THREE RINKS HAVE FIVE WINS. The one-day bowling tournament held at the West End greens yesterday resulted in a win for a Fitzroy rink skipped by H. Price with 5$ wins, H. Moyes (Waitara) 5 wins, being the runner-up. Moyes, W. Bruce (West End) and P. Douglass (West End) completed the day with five wins each. Tire count back on the aggregate resulted with Moyes 79 points, Douglass 69 and Bruce 64. The greens were fast and true, but a tricky wind in the morning gave the players trouble at times and some high scores resulted. However, conditions moderated in the afternoon and some fine games were seen. The president of the club, Mr. J. Christoffell, at the conclusion of play congratulated the winners on their fine play, and presented the prizes. Mr. A. Sim was in charge. Details are:— First Round.
